The Board of ENTSO-E, the European association of transmission system operators (TSOs) for electricity, has appointed
Mr Fintan Slye, Chief Executive of the Irish TSO, EirGrid, as Vice-Chair.
“I am delighted and honoured to become the Vice-Chair of the Board of ENTSO-E. I look forward to collaborating with our Chair, Mrs Bente Hagem, and all members of the Board in progressing energy transition and market integration across Europe”, said Mr Slye upon his nomination.
Before becoming Chief Executive of EirGrid in 2012, Mr Slye was responsible for operating the power system in Ireland and Northern Ireland, as well as managing the integration of world-leading levels of renewables on the Irish power system.
