ENTSO-E held a public stakeholder consultation workshop on the draft Network Code on Requirements for Grid Connection Applicable to all Generators in Brussels on 15 February. The presentations from the workshop are now available via the link below.
The workshop was held as part of ENTSO-E’s public consultation, which is open for a period of eight weeks from 24 January until 20 March 2012.
The aim of the public stakeholder workshop was to provide an overview of the steps taken in this code development process, as well as to present the motivation of the technical approach taken in this code. The workshop also provided stakeholders with the opportunity to provide feedback on the development process and the current version of the draft code.

A pilot project ended in March 2011 after an intensive work of almost two years which included two public stakeholder workshops and a first consultation. During this process a massive number of stakeholder comments were assessed and finally a pilot code was published.
After the entry into force of the Third Energy Package in March 2011 the legal basis for the network code development was set. ACER published its final Framework Guidelines on Electricity Grid Connections in July 2011.
Shortly afterwards, the EC mandated ENTSO-E to draft a network code on generator connection. The submission of this network code is planned for the end of June 2012.
In the last months ENTSO-E continued its work on the code, based on the final framework guidelines and by continuing discussions with stakeholders.
A working draft document was published in November 2011.
The ENTSO-E public consultation on the Network Code for Requirements for Grid Connection applicable to all Generators is open from 24 January 2011 for a period of eight weeks until 20 March 2012.
