Demand Connection Code Public Workshop

Date: 18/04/2012 -

ENTSO-E held a public workshop on the Demand Connection Code on 18 April 2012 in Brussels. The purpose of the workshop was to present the preliminary scope of the network code as well as to present and discuss the proposed approach to drafting this code. The presentations from the workshop are available.

On 5 January 2012, the EC issued a letter mandating ENTSO-E  to develop a network code on DSO and industrial load grid connection rules within a period of 12 months. ENTSO-E refers to this code as the Demand Connection Code (DCC). This is the second network code to be developed within ACER’s Framework Guidelines on Electricity Grid Connections after the Network Code for “Requirements for Grid Connection applicable to all Generators”.

The scoping exercise for the content of this network code started already well in advance of receiving the EC mandate. The outcome of bilateral discussions with main stakeholder associations is available in the DCC webpage. This resulted also in a preliminary scope document  which was recently published.

At the moment ENTSO-E is in the drafting phase of the Demand Connection Code. The planned steps in the consultation process with stakeholders and dates for interactions was published on the Demand Connection Code webpage in mid-March.  First point of contact for further information is Edwin Haesen (edwin.haesen@entsoe.eu)
