ENTSO-E opens registration for Demand Connection Code workshop on 9 August

Date: 09/08/2012 -

As part of the consultation on the Demand Connection Code (DCC), ENTSO-E held a public stakeholder workshop on 9 August in Brussels to provide information about, and receive feedback on, the draft network code.

ENTSO-E launched the web-based public consultation on the Demand Connection Code (DCC) on 27 June 2012, and invited interested parties to submit comments by 12 September 2012.

As outlined in the draft agenda, the purpose of this workshop was to provide information about, and receive feedback on, the draft network code. To open up the discussion as much as possible, ENTSO-E welcomed participants to submit specific questions in advance of the workshop so that they can be handled in the panel session or round table discussions. Also, if participants wished to share their views/ experience relevant in the context of the DCC, proposals for short presentations were welcome. Stakeholders were requested to communicate questions and proposals for presentation in their registration for this workshop.

ENTSO-E notes that TSO members also carried out initiatives at national level during the web-based consultation period to communicate on the scope and process of the DCC by means of workshops or in national user groups. Stakeholders were advised to refer to their national TSOs for further questions on this. Stakeholders had a two and a half month period to provide comments and feedback. This extended period took into account the summer period.

All comments on the draft Demand Connection Code must be submitted via the ENTSO-E web consultation interface. Comments not submitted via this channel will not be considered as formal comments in this consultation. Further information on the procedure to submit comments can be accessed here.

During this consultation period, as well as thereafter, ENTSO-E continues interactions with a dedicated DSO Technical Expert Group and a DCC User Group on the further improvement of the draft code. The DCC is being developed by ENTSO-E in accordance with the processes established in line with Regulation (EC) 714/2009 and follows ACER’s framework guidelines on electricity grid connections. The workshop was be held on: Thursday, 9 August, from 10h30 to 15h30, at
ENTSO-E, Avenue de Cortenbergh 100, 1000 Brussels, Belgium
