3rd Workshop on the connection codes frequency parameters

Date: 04/10/2017 - Hotel Radisson Royal Blu, Rue du Fossé-aux-Loups 47, 1000 Brussels

Agenda

The workshop is associated with the connection codes (RfG, DCC and HVDC) implementation and is the third one of a series of workshops around the frequency stability parameters topic. The last two that took place on March 9 and July 20 in Brussels have helped ENTSO-E to discuss preliminary values with the stakeholders and receive valuable feedback for consideration.

During July’s workshop, it was decided to have another public workshop to discuss on the remaining parameters – i.e. Demand Response System Frequency Control (DR SFC), Frequency ranges of automatic connection and gradient of active power increase, Auto reconnection after an incidental disconnection, Admissible active power reduction at low frequencies.

ENTSO-E has worked over the last period to come up with suggestions on appropriate ranges and values for requirements of each connection code related to frequency stability, so as to guide the national implementation processes of each implementing country.

In this 3rd event ENTSO-E members’ experts on system planning and operation, with a strong knowledge of system stability aspects will present the suggestions on the abovementioned non-exhaustive parameters and exchange with the relevant stakeholders with a view to update the respective Implementation Guidance Documents (IGDs).
